Day of Data Orlando Returns October 17
Join Central Florida’s top data engineers, analysts, and IT pros on October 17 at Seminole State College for Day of Data—a free, full-day community event packed with hands-on sessions covering everything from cloud migrations to open-source AI tooling. Held this year on October 17 at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida, Day of Data (formerly known as SQL Saturday) is a full day of community-driven sessions built for Central Florida’s data and IT crowd. Think engineers, analysts, DBAs, and IT managers, all in one room, learning from each other. What really sets this event apart is the breadth of the speaker lineup. You won’t find a single-vendor echo chamber here. Sessions span Postgres, DuckDB, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and open-source AI tooling, so whether you’re knee-deep in a cloud migration or just starting to experiment with your first RAG pipeline, there’s probably something on the schedule for you. It’s also entirely volunteer-run, which is part of what makes it special. There’s no corporate agenda here, just practitioners sharing what they’ve actually learned in the field. That grassroots spirit is exactly why events like Day of Data pair so well with the DevFest community. Same DNA, same love of hands-on, no-fluff technical content.
A few things worth knowing before you go:
- Registration for the main (free) event is required and handled through Eventbrite and join the community group event on Meetup. Space fills up, so don’t wait until the week of.
